With Mother’s Day coming up in just a few days I thought this would be a good time to talk about mothers. And love. And my mom. And my love for her.
As moms we do everything we can for our children.
Make sure they have brushed their teeth, cleaned their rooms, finished their homework and so very much more.
We give up parts of our lives to ensure that our children have what they need. We do this willingly.
We struggle through the challenging parts of motherhood and soak up the good stuff…. The hugs, the kisses, the I love you mommys.
I never had dreams of becoming a mom. My goal in life was to run my own business.
But I’m so entirely grateful that I have my two beautiful children.
And I’m even more grateful to have my mom.
Without her I don’t think I could be the mom that I am today.
She raised me to be strong. To be independent. To be a good woman. To be a good mom.
To this day she is still there for me when I need her.
Like when I had kidney stones on a week long camping trip and right when we got back home she came up to stay for the weekend to help me recover and care for my 3 month old baby.
Or the time when I needed someone to take the kids while I went to BlogHer11. Or when I needed someone to take the kids so we could go to a wedding. Or the time when I wanted the kids away for a weekend so I could paint Hayley’s room. Or all of the other times to come in the future when she helps out with watching the kids. (Can you tell she’s our go to babysitter?)
Or when I just need to talk to someone. She’s there.
On this mother’s day, I want to say thank you to my mom. For everything she has done for me and for my family.
I hope that you will also do the same for your mother.
To celebrate selfless and unconditional caring of caregivers, including moms, and all the ways they care for those they love, Johnson and Johnson has launched a campaign called “For All You Love.” They will also be donating $25k to Save the Children.
Please take one minute and watch this video to learn more about the For All You Love campaign.
Also… In celebration of Mother’s Day this year, JOHNSON’S® Baby has established JOHNSON’S® Baby CARES Care Cards, a digital e-card platform encouraging moms to share positive messages of encouragement with other moms across the country, while simultaneously supporting Save the Children®.
You can help, too! Simply pick and share a card filled with messages of reassurance for a Mom in your life on Facebook at http://www.
These cards will not only spread encouragement to Moms throughout the country but will also provide Moms in need with the skills and knowledge to successfully support their child’s growth.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you and I hope you have a wonderful day filled with family, fun, chocolate and maybe some Hibiscus Champagne Punch.
Note…this is a sponsored post. All opinions are my own as my feelings of gratitude for my mom. Love you mom!
