For this week’s Essence of Now post I’m going to take you on a journey with some highlights from 2012 which was a really big year for the Torres clan.
Ready?
The husband and I went to Kauai for our 30th birthdays and our 5 year anniversary.
I attended Blissdom and hung out (mostly at the bar) with some special blog friends.
I was finally able to potty train my toddler.
And she turned 3 (how much longer can I call her a toddler?)
We had a mini vacation at Lake Tahoe.
We spent many weekends at Buck’s Lake in our new trailer.
We also spent countless hours in the water where the oldest learned to wakeboard.
There was a trip to the Reno Rodeo.
The garden had another successful year with lots of tomatoes and other produce.
Our second family vacation for the year was a trip to Santa Cruz, California.
I went to Bloggy Boot Camp in Las Vegas with my blogging twin.
The oldest child turned 9 and I suppose is now officially a tween.
I’ve created countless cocktail recipes including this Citrus Champagne Punch.
AND…the biggest accomplishment of the year? Layla started sleeping in her own bed at night (thanks to the tips on how to get toddlers to sleep through the night from my interview with a Pediatrician)!
Overall, it was a good year. Now it’s time to start making memories for 2013.

I’m not sure how I’m going to handle having a tween in the house yet. Guess I’ll have to figure it out. fast.

Flat Alison had a great time at Blissdom although she was a little crazy with the chickens.
I didn’t see a single thing about grandma visits or babysitting. So sad.
Guess I’ll have to do another post.

Isn’t Hawaii wonderful? We went there with my parents and brother and his wife and had a great time. So lovely
