January 2nd, 2013 marks 2 years of blogging for me.
In some ways it feels like yesterday that I was posting about the end of my first year of blogging.
In other ways it feels like this last year has been a lifetime.
Between the first and second year, I’ve stepped back online. A lot.
No longer do I blog everyday. Instead, I only post two or three times a week.
My focus has shifted from general nonsense about parenting to more about greener living with kids.
I’ve had some awesome opportunities that I never expected including working with method, working as an independent contractor with a local Reno PR agency, leading the Mom Blog Money Blog series at Business 2 Blogger, and so much more.
In addition to all of that I’ve been busy building my cocktail blog (and my liquor cabinet).
The biggest thing I have to say about my second year of blogging is that I’m grateful.
Grateful for the opportunities.
Grateful for the friends I have made. It feels great to have people all across the world that are in my circle of friends. I wouldn’t have this if I had never started blogging.
I hope one day I can meet all of my friends in person…BlogHer13 anyone????
So, as I embark on my 3rd year in the blogosphere I look forward to what may come and I’m happy to call myself a blogger.

Congratulations! Funny how it works, but the more focus you have on a more restricted subject, the more stuff you have to write about it. At least that’s what happened to me. When I had a whatever-blog, I had nothing to write about, but now I never run out of stuff.

I’ve had many people tell me in the last two years they thought I had been blogging longer than I really had. Guess that’s a good thing.
