Pink Your Sink To Raise Awareness

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I wish I could say that I don’t know anyone affected by breast cancer, but I can’t.

I hope that when my children grow up they can say that there is a cure for breast cancer.

I also hope that my little one will sleep in her own bed at night, but that’s a story for another day.

To help raise awareness for breast cancer and to support the cure, my friends over at method have launched a pink your sink campaign.

In addition to the pink products they already have, they came out with two limited edition hand washes in Botanical Garden and Mimosa Sun. Don’t those just sound pretty? They were DESIGNED for GOOD with beautiful bottles.

Who wouldn’t want to pink their sink with these bottles that are recyclable and filled with naturally derived and biodegradable soaps that smell so delicious you want to make out with them?

In addition to the limited edition hand soaps, method is also going to donate $10,000 to four different charities who are part of breast cancer awareness and research (that’s $2,500 per charity in case math isn’t your strong suit…yes, I’m talking about me).

Talk about a company that puts its money where its mouth is.

From 10/8 to 10/21 you can vote for the charity you believe should win over at method’s Facebook page. From 10/22-10/28 method will judge the top 10 selections. On 10/29 the four winners will be announced.

You can find the DESIGNED for GOOD pink your sink hand soaps at the following grocery stores:

Bozzuto’s, Inc., Canadian Tire Corp, Gelsons, Giant Eagle, Gristede’s, Harmon Stores, Inc., Harris Teeter, HEB Grocery Company, Heinens Fine Foods, Hudson’s Bay Company, Hy-Vee Food Stores, Kroger, London Drugs, Raleys, Ricky’s, Safeway Canada, Safeway Inc, Walgreens Company, White Rose Food, Stop & Shop, and Wegmans Market.

You can also order online at methodhome.com, drugstore.com, soap.com, and well.ca.

So, you need to go out and buy your own pink your sink soaps and also vote for the organization you think should win at method’s Facebook page. Can you handle that? Yeah, I think you can.

Once you are done with your assignments, you can have a Mimosa Sun Cocktail which I’m sharing over at One Martini which was inspired by the above mentioned soap. You’re welcome.

Note…I was provided with some of the above method products and I received compensation for this post as a method maven but all opinions are my own along with the idea to really pink my sink by using my child. I didn’t think I would fit in there myself because according to my kids I have a really big butt.

The Botanical Garden and Mimosa Sun soaps aren’t at Target but you will be able to find everything else there. They all smell good so I’m sure you will find a few you like.

You’re pretty great at writing reviews. But honestly, they would have record-breaking sales if they hired the little one as their spokesprincess. She’s too cute for words.

She can be a little moody but I bet if they paid in chocolate chips she would have no problem being their spokesprincess.

  7. What pretty bottles! I will have to look for them.

Just bought 2 bottles from drugstore.com! woo hoo! Can’t wait! We’ve been going green here (more than just recycling). Todd is worried that I’m becoming a hippie. ;)

And my grandmother was a breast cancer survivor & an aunt I was close to lost her battle to breast cancer almost 10 years ago. I’m all in with anything that supports finding a cure!

I agree method did a great job with the pink your sink soaps.

My model was very happy to help (this time) and I didn’t have to bribe her with anything.
