Last weekend I went to Las Vegas for my very first time ever. How I managed to live 30 years without going to Vegas is beyond me but I’m glad that I can finally check that off my life list.
The purpose of my trip was to attend the Bloggy Boot Camp conference and I can say that I walked away learning a lot.
Like…
It’s a good idea to not check in late on your flights as the airline needs time to put your bag on the plane. Yep, my bag ended up a later flight.
The Vegas strip is full of people and the Bellagio fountains are really cool to see.
I look crazy when taking pictures on the strip.
Conferences at hotels with plastic bar cups are awesome.
Also, $2 happy hour rocks.
You should always keep your room number with you so that you don’t have to go all the way back to registration to find out what room you are in.
And that even though you left your makeup as high up in the bathroom as you possibly can, it’s a good idea to teach the husband how to remove eye shadow on toddlers when he is left in charge.
I also learned a thing or two at the actual conference which I’m working on implementing on my blog and over at One Martini. Change is good, right?

That is a GREAT shot of the Bellagio. And I’d totally call bullshit on you never being in Vegas before but you don’t seem like a fibber so I’ll just say WOW. Looks like you made the virgin voyage count!
I wish I could say I was lying that this was my first trip to Vegas. I’d always wanted to go but it never happened. Now I’m planning on having the husband take me back so I can experience more of the bars and the shows.
Aw, looks like you had a great time!!! I love Vegas, but we haven’t been for years (like before we had kids).
