Much to my husband’s dismay, I love to shop.
No trip to the store is complete unless I have at least one new piece of clothing in my bag.
So how do I protect those clothes I spend fortunes on?
With method products. Duh. Yep, the same people who make the Orla Kiely soaps I fell in love with.
Their laundry soap, fabric softeners, and dryer activated fabric softeners are awesome.
Not only do they leave my clothes smelling softer than a parade of velvet bunnies, they come out of the wash so fresh and so clean.
But the method laundry products also protect the environment. The bottles are made out of plastic that can be recycled unlike those nasty dryer sheets that are often made out of polyethylene or polyester, meaning that they can’t be composted or recycled after use.
Did you know that most dryer sheets are made using animal fat in the form of tallow for softening? Nasty, huh? Method’s dryer spray uses coconut oil to help your clothes stay soft.
Yes, I said dryer spray. That’s right. Method came out with a fabric softener that is a spray. Not a sheet. 4 sprays and bam, you’re done.
The smells are delicious for laundry. Fresh air and lavender lilac. Sometimes, the spray gets on fingers a little bit and for hours after I get little whiffs of the fragrance. It kind of makes me happy I have to do the laundry.
Once the clothes are dried, no need to find that stupid dryer sheet that may or may not be stuck to your clothes as you walk out the door (not that I’ve ever had that happen to me).
Plus, you can refresh your favorite jeans by throwing them in the dryer for 15 minutes with a few sprays of the fabric softener instead of having to wash them and get them to stretch back out to that non-muffin top comfy spot. You know that spot I’m talking about.
And the environment is happy from the spray instead of the sheet because it’s one less thing to clutter the landfills.
Awesome, right? Just say yes. You know I’m right.
So, now I can continue to shop for new clothes knowing method’s got my back when I do the laundry.
Who’s in for a trip to the mall? I’ll bring the fabric spray.
Go follow method on Facebook and Twitter for more info on all of their great products.
Note…I was provided with some of the above method products and I will receive compensation for this post as a method maven but all opinions are my own along with many of the goofy pictures and my new found love for doing the laundry.

I’m intrigued by the softener spray. I haven’t used dryer sheets in forever. A repair guy once told me that it’s not good to put dryer sheets into the new types of dryers. I always use regular fabric softener.

I didn’t know it wasn’t good to put dryer sheets into new dryers but I can tell you I’m really liking the fabric spray.

Oh, I gotta get me some of that dryer spray!
And yes, I DO love to shop too… if only we lived closer to each other, we could do some damage!

Now that would be nice.
SPRAY! What a great idea. I hate using dryer sheets but I have to. Now I have to go hunt for this piece of goodness.

The softener spray reminds me of wrinkle releaser spray.
On another note description about the clothes being ‘So Fresh and Clean’ made me think of that song ‘So Fresh and So clean’. It’s 5AM and in my head I’m singing: So Fresh and So Clean clean. Ain’t nobody dope as me . . . LOL!

Ha! I was thinking of that song when I typed that line.
What a great idea. I’ll have to check them out.
Hey, does the gorgeous model come with the product?
You know…to do my laundry?

She does but she expects payments in the form of cocktails.

Look at you slaving away over the laundry. You need to relax with a little retail therapy.
We’ve been using some very expensive environmentally safe and child safe products for some time. I am thinking of looking for something different. What is your cost per load? If you don’t mind my asking. I realize it will be different on my side of the country…

Hey there, Maggie! I work at method (i manage the laundry business) and wanted to get back to you on your questions.
It does depend on where you shop, but the best assortment, and only store where you can buy the dryer spray right now, is at Target. Our 50 load pumps are typically $14.99 ($0.30 per load) and our 85 load refill bags are $18.99 ($0.23 per load) there. It depends on if they are doing deals and what not, but that is our typical pricing at Target!
P.S. We are environmentally safe and a great option for kids (hypo-allergenic and the free and clear has no dye or fragrance if they have sensitive skin.)
P.P.S. I have two kids and a great tip is that method detergent is an amazing pre-treat. Because we have so little water in the formula (we are 8x concentrated) the soap gets right onto stains so give it a shot…just a dime size on a stain before you wash it. i think you’ll be amazed at the results!

Fabric softener in a spray form? Huh. That’s super cool. I will have to check it out. Thanks for the reviews and awesome photos too.

You’re welcome. Hope you like the spray.
I’ll have to try that as I quit using dryer sheets once I realized how terrible they were.

You can find the spray at Target. Hope you like it.
This looks amazing. I went back to dryer sheets after trying to use different things like tennis balls. I like my clothes soft and yummy smelling, and I like that this seems to be an option that’s better for the environment.
Let’s go to BlogHer a day early and shop. Or skip a day of sessions. Or something

I have tennis balls for the dryer but I have never actually used them. They are still in the can in the laundry room.
I like your thinking for BlogHer. We also need to have cocktail hour.
Per you recommendation I bought some of their soaps last week, I love them. Now I want the laundry products.

I love that you got on top of your washer to take pics. Dedication, my friend.

And posing on top of the washer is getting me one step closer to my dream of being a laundry model.
