We have spent many summers together.
Me protecting you during those hot days under the sun.
You smiling back at me in the warm evenings.
But this year, you are missing from my life.
I suppose it’s my fault.
Most of my days have been spent in or near the water.
Not walking around the town.
Instead of looking down and seeing your little white lines…
I just see brown.
Linking up with GFunkified and Mama Mash for #iPPP to lament about my missing tan lines.

Mine are missing too but for the opposite reason. And yes, I am bitter about that.

Maybe next year…
I’ve barely looked at my feet!

Time to look down, lady.
Your feet look happy without tan lines

They feel happy too.
No tan lines? That’s an excellent sign you’ve had a great summer!

It has been a great summer but I think it’s the first time I’ve never had flip flop tan lines.

I hope you have a good summer at least.
I actually have tan lines! I have a tan! Miracle.

That is a miracle! I hope they stick around for awhile.
My toes stay in sneakers most of the time. When they are in sandals, they don’t look pretty.

I rarely wear sneakers in the summer unless I’m on the treadmill or going to do a lot of walking at an event.

I have my tan lines each and every year. I live in flip flops year round and never really lose them!

I would live in my flip flops if I could but I don’t think it would be very fun to walk in the snow with them.

Hee hee! That’s just terrible that you’ve had to spend all that time by the water.

I may have the most defined flip-flop tan lines EVER this year… Not enough time at the beach, I guess

But at least you have been out in the sun.
I loved toe tan lines! Can’t say that I see them much any more. You’d think living in SC I would be getting all the sun imaginable- but it’s just TOO darn hot. Cute post!
It’s been hot here lately too which is why I’ve spent as much time as possible in the water.

This is funny because for the first time this summer I noticed I had flip flop lines. Maybe because I worked outside some….A good trip to the beach will take care of that.

A trip to the beach definitely wouldn’t hurt anything.

I’m jealous of your tan and your missing tan lines. I have pretty bad farmer’s “tan.” Kind of lame.
I call it “tan” because it’s nothing like a real tan…it’s just the way I color up in the summer.
Christine @ Quasi Agitato recently posted..iPPP ~ Back to School Edition
As long as it’s color from the sun it can be called a tan.
I had to laugh at this! Our tan lines are like trophies aren’t they?! What makes me sick is that my husband has permanent tan lines from his Chacos that go with him all through Winter even…I’m sitting here looking at my lilly white feet wishing for Summer in Australia to fully start so I can get just a hint of a tan line!
I wish I could get my tan to keep all through winter.
I am missing my summer tan lines too this year but that’s because I wore 75+ SPF all season.
Cute post.

I don’t think I’ve ever worn SPF 75+.
Ahhhh. Sounds like a wonderful summer!!

Oh good. I’m not the only weirdo who absolutely loves flip flop tan lines. Mine are starting to fade.
