How is my garden doing so far this year you ask?
Well, let me show you…
Cherry Tomatoes
Heirloom Tomatoes
Thai Chilis (just one of the many pepper plants we are growing)
Watermelon
Pumpkin (or at least the two that have not yet died from the heat).
Sugar Snap Peas
Yellow and Red Onions
Lettuce
Eggplant
Lots of garlic
And of course herbs… Sage for this sage and gin cocktail, mint for mojitos such as this Strawberry Pom Mojito, and chocolate mint for this chocolate mint vojito.
And a few days after I took all these pics, I went out to the garden and found all of this ready to be picked…
Not as great as last year’s garden, but I’d say so far it’s a success.
Since all pics were from my iPhone I’m once again joining GFunkified and Mama Mash for iPPP and Mama Kat who asked to see the fruits of our labor.

You garden guru! I am so impressed. So, you’ve got stuff for salsa for sure.

That’s amazing. Next year, I’m definitely asking for your advice! I’m a total garden newbie…lots of tomatoes, a few pumpkins, sunflowers, a little lettuce. There was a lot more that didn’t do much. You should be so proud!

I am proud of you and your garden! Good job.
Ours hasn’t done well this year. Yours looks great!! Pumpkins are such a great idea! I’m going to do that next year
Leighann recently posted..You Know… “Those” Friends
Last year I had about a dozen pumpkins from 1 plant. This year, not so many because the late heat we had. But I do love pumpkins for baking so they are a good plant to grow.

So so impressed. My garden (what’s left of my summer one) is fading from the heat. I’m going to set out pumpkin seedlings but think I’m a bit late for Halloween.
But maybe pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. Do you use an fertilizers? I used some chicken manure last fall.
Jamie@SouthMainMuse recently posted..Gotcha. Eleven Years Ago.
Pumpkin you typically have to plant in the spring time to get a late summer/fall harvest.
I use Jobe’s organic fertilizer stakes around all of my plants.

Nice! I would like an artichoke plant but I’m not sure it would do well with our climate in Reno.
You are welcome anytime to share our bounty and taste test cocktails.

).
I tried my hand at a garden, we can even grow cantaloups here in Canada – at least where we live – but I just don’t have the patience (much like doing crafts…)
Great pictures!
I grew cantaloupe last year. They take awhile to come in just like pumpkin and watermelon but it’s so worth it when they do.

My winter garden last year was just garlic. I might try and do more this year.
What a wonderful garden! You must be having the best time harvesting these wonderfull foods and cooking with them.

I was actually thinking about your garden a few days ago! You’ve done a great job. Since we now have a house with a yard I plan on starting a garden next summer. Or do I need to start now in the fall? Help me, gardening expert!

Beautiful plants! We just started gardening this year and I’m so excited about it. I have a cherry tomato plant that’s going strong. Love tomatoes! Haven’t planted much else because we needed to build planter boxes first. But we’re well on our way!
