This week was easier than last week. Instead of ups and downs, it was full of first…
The first time I had this particular group of people over for a dinner party. (Terrible picture taken by Layla).
The first time I’ve ever made this White Pear Sangria (to taste test on unsuspecting party guests).
Also, my first time making these Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes. So awesome!
We completed our first week of homeschooling and everyone survived.
The husband bought his first Kimber .45 (after I told him no more guns for a while so I repeated that statement to him again – with more authority this time). This would be a good time to remind you all not to mess with the Torres clan.
I am in the process of smell testing a whole bunch of Method products for the first time (which can I just say right now that I puffy heart love).
And I bought myself a new pair of shades for the first time in 4 years. I think they were long overdue.
As they say, you never forget your firsts in life.

I think I could probably live on the sangria and cupcakes. I would weigh 400 lbs, but dammit. I’d be happy.

Love the shades. I’ve been thinking about getting a pair of aviators. Also, those cupcakes look delish. My boy would die… he’s a chocoholic!!!

The cupcakes with all of the ingredients are not kid friendly so I had to make adult ones and kid ones but no one complained. They were so good.

Did the drink pour into the glass with the fruit stacked that way? Or did you create the glass for the photo?
Firsts are blessed because they have nothing else to compare to.

I created the glass for the photo but when I poured drinks for people the grapes fell to the bottom and the rest of the fruit went to the top.
Now that’s a great week!

I’ve never heard of Method products. Do you have a blog post about them or will share about these soon? I’d like to learn more
I admire Mom’s who Home School. I haven’t spoken about this idea to my husband, as we’re still getting over the shock of being pregnant, but it’s a forthcoming conversation
