Once upon a time, there was a mountain man. We’ll call him Bonny.
He met a girl at a mall (and snubbed her). We’ll call her Bessica.
Eventually Bessica gave Bonny another chance and they went out on his boat. Shortly after that they became a couple and then decided to get married, for logistical reasons.
Fast forward a few years and Bessica starts a blog.
Well, one day Bessica’s blog gets attacked by an evil hacker and she freaks the freak out.
But it all gets fixed thanks to Bonny and Bessica learns the important lesson of backing her blog up all. the. time.
Fast forward a few months and the mountain man and the blogger go on a week-long camping trip with their two crazy kids. After returning from said camping trip, Bessica notices her blog has updates for WordPress, Headway, and a few plugins.
Remembering the very important lesson about backing up her site, Bessica manually backups her blog before doing the updates.
Isn’t she so smart?
I’ll answer that for you…Yes, she is.
Because one of the updates jacked up her site.
This time, however, Bessica does not freak the freak out at her blog troubles. She doesn’t even call Bonny at work to tell him about the problem (round of applause for Bess).
She simply turns off the computer and directs her attention to other important tasks such as eating bon-bons and trying to nap.
A few hours later when Bonny comes home from work she tells him of the problem and he sets out to fix it (what a good husband).
Long story short, Bessica’s site is fixed thanks to the Mountain Man and BlueHost and she can blog again (he was rewarded with a drink identical to this Green Spring Cocktail because Bessica also doubles as a mixologist).
And they lived happily ever after.
The end.
(Until she breaks her blog again).

Way to keep your cool this time around, Bessica. I freak the freak out when something goes wonky on my blog too. It makes me so anxious!

This is too cute. I have my own ‘mountain” man and he takes care of the backing up end of things for me. Aren’t we lucky girls. I have counted my blessings on numerous occasions.

You should just move in here with your mountain man who is the guru. Because I could homeschool, you could be the mixologist, we could be sister wives except you would be in charge of all conjugal needs.
I have recently discovered there are things with batteries for that

If there is one thing (and there are many) that I’ve learned from Bessica, it’s to back up your blog.
Thank goodness for husbands and back-ups and bonbons and cocktails.

lol. I love happy endings! Good for you for backing your blog up! That’s so important, yet, most of us forget to do it on a regular basis!
I know which is why I send out constant reminders for all my blogging friends.

Oh I am so glad to know that Bessica and Bonny are living happily ever after! I do love a good love story with a happy ending. Oh and what’s up with these hacking jerks?! I mean seriously, people don’t you have anything better to do with your time?! Uggg!

The whole point of this post being, of course, to make sure to marry someone who has skills that will benefit you someday. Lol. My man can’t help me with computer issues (DAMMIT!), but if I ever need something thrown off the roof so that it smashes into a million pieces, he’s got it down (true story).
