When Pretzels Attack

As I mentioned before, we celebrated the wild child turning 3 a few weeks ago with a birthday party.

Isn’t this invitation cute? Kimberly Muro made it for me (note, I took out the address of the party’s location before posting).

Before the party, I was sent a very big box filled with bags of Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels that I could use for the happy birthday party.

Naturally, we had to taste test before we could serve them to our guests. So we opened the bag of Pretzel Rods and did the only logical thing I could think of….dipped them in chocolate.

The pretzels passed the kid taste test and were allowed to be put out at the party.

I caught my mom sneaking a few handfuls before guests arrived but I suppose it was allowed since we did invade her house for the celebration.

Hayley visited the pretzel bar multiple times throughout the day and decided that the Pretzel Snaps were her favorite.

My niece was caught enjoying the Honey Wheat Braided Twists.

But I think the biggest fan of the pretzels was my youngest nephew. He loved chomping on the Sourdough Hard Pretzels (and anything else he could get in his mouth).

My favorite way to eat the pretzels? In this Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookie Bar that I made with the Pretzel Snaps. I was informed by the husband that I’m never allowed to make it again because he couldn’t stop eating it.

And of course you need a good drink to wash down all of these pretzels. I suggest the Red, White, and Blue Vojito which is the first drink in the series we are doing for 4th of July cocktails over at One Martini.

Be sure to check out Snyder’s of Hanover on Facebook and Twitter for more pretzel goodness.

Note, I was provided all of the Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels to review but I did not receive compensation. All opinions, pictures, and the awesome idea to make the Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookie Bar are my own. Also, the invitation was made for me by Kimsley but she did not ask me to post about it.

Yum! A pretzel party is my kind of party. We are a total Snyder’s household. We all may turn in to pretzels soon. The ‘pretzel pieces’ are awesome as a substitute for croutons on salad. If you do a salad w/ ranch & then buy the honey mustard pretzel pieces – it’s to die.

They sent me the Buttermilk ranch and the Cheddar Cheese pretzel pieces. My mom and H loved the ranch ones. I never thought of using them as croutons on a salad. That’s a good idea.

They do make gluten free pretzels. They sent us a bag of them to sample and they tasted just the same as the regular pretzels.
