I’ve had my DSLR for almost a year now but I’ve never used it in manual mode. So, I figured it’s time I suck it up and start trying. Here’s some shots from my first attempt (be easy on me.)

These are great! Manual is hard to figure out at first, but if you practice, it’s really fun! I need A LOT more practice. My favorite is the peach eatin’.
The hardest part of taking these pictures was getting the kids to cooperate!

Trying is the best you can do Assycakes.
Manual is daunting! Way to go for jumping in. I like the first puppy pic the best.

That’s why I never tried but I figure since I have a nice camera, I might as well use it the way it was intended.
Love the close up of the dog (1st shot)…but I have dogs on my mind since I want to give my kids one.

B/c I tend to read too much into things, I like the tiara shot… she isn’t holding it perfectly, her chipped nails.
But then I also sexualize fruit so often that I can’t ignore the plum BUTT. So thanks for that.
And no, I know NOTHING about my camera (got a fancy one for Christmas and I’ve used it twice.)

I just can’t do it. I think the fact that I’ve got really bad eyesight doesn’t help. I keep going on Pinterest and pretending like I’m really going to learn things TODAY, but I never do. I did discover that the Creative Auto mode is kinda fun.

I’m too much of a scaredy cat to shoot in manual. I leave it in aperture priority and cross my fingers with every shot. I vow to learn manual one day. I’ll be picking your brain when I do!

I honestly don’t even know what aperture priority is. There is so much to learn with photography. I’m not sure I would be the right person for this type of brain picking.

I really liked the first picture too but I had to cover up her buttcrack.
I’ve had mine for a year too and I’m also scared of it. I’ve used manual several times though. Also got the For Dummies book for my camera. These look good to me though–I like the picture of the fruit.

Thank you. It was hard to get shots of the dogs because they move so much.
I try to always shoot in manual, I am no expert but I like the pictures so much more. I really like the pic of your baby girl and the princess crown. Not sure why but it’s super cute, like there’s a story behind it or something.
