I ended up taking both kids trick or treating (by myself) for almost an hour. Longest we have ever gone.
The vampire ladybug was having so much fun going up to houses with her big sister until we hit a very spooky one. After that I had to carry her while listening to her repeat “moon go night night” and “I scared mommy”. I’m pretty sure I earned the right to eat all of her Kit Kat’s guilt free.
Oh, and the bat below…I named him Sparkly Vampire Ninja Bat. He had a nice meal before landing on my blog.

Who doesn’t love a vampire? Especially a ladybug one. Yes, you totally earned all the kit kats. And I love that they trick or treated at their own house. That’s genius in candy collection right there.
They trick or treated at our house at least 3 times. They thought it was so much fun to see daddy.

They do make pretty scary vampires.
Did you save me any candy?

The ladybug had to be like her big sister.
Poor little vampire! I’d say carrying her for an hour counts as your cardio and weightlifting, so yes, Kit Kat’s are in order.

My little one was scared too after a creepy house and had to be carried the rest of the way. For that we totally earned all of the Kit Kat’s.

What wonderful costume ideas! We avoid scary houses. They freak JDaniel out.

I wasn’t sure how she would do with the scary houses so we went to one and found out she doesn’t like them. We avoided the rest after that.

Funny how polite they were.
Mirjam recently posted..Jewelry
We practiced many times on how to be polite when trick or treating.
My kids hit a spooky house too and called it a night soon after that. But those houses are great for the big kids, they love getting spooked and feel so big and brave. All chocolate on Halloween should carry no guilt, it’s not Halloween without some fun size bars.
Marie@feedingfive recently posted..How to feed your Kids
My oldest loved the spooky houses, she was excited to go up to the door all by herself.
I’ve definitely been eating my fill of fun sized candy bars the past couple days.
Vampire ladybugs are terrifying! We vant to suck your blood…and eat your aphids.

Mmmm…Kit Kats.
Exactly.
How adorable. and very impressive how they can audibly and clearly say trick or treat with a mouth full of vampire teeth!

Great costumes! But I have two questions. First, how did you get away with only trick or treating for an hour? Second, how did he get away with only giving them one candy?
jacqui recently posted..A Trick AND A Treat…
Usually we only go for about 20 minutes so an hour was a long time.
The kids came back to our house to trick or treat 3 times so that made up for only one piece of candy.
