In the summer we drink lots of smoothies.
Mostly because it’s the only way I can get my little one to eat/drink anything that isn’t pasta.
So I thought I would start sharing some of our favorite recipes beginning with my favorite one.
Mango Smoothie
3 cups diced mango
2 cups coconut water
2tsp vanilla extract
Squeeze of lime
Pinch of sea salt (I use pink Himalayan salt)
(If you want it colder you can add ice cubes)
Blend
Pour
Enjoy!

Sounds simple enough. Adding the ingredients to my shopping list. And some Malibu to the recipe
Of course Malibu would be delicious in it but I always have to share mine with the kids.

Or Vodka. Rum is the devil…
I think vodka is the devil unless it’s in a martini.

Sounds yummy, it has all my favorite ingredients! Gotta try.
How can you go wrong with mangos and coconut juice?

That sounds delicious and easy! I’ll be giving this a try.
You should, much easier than going to buy a premade smoothie.

Mangoes are a big hit in our house too, except pasta of course
, but ‘Timan’ likes to eat them, instead of drinking, especially the really ripe ones. Gah. Maybe I have to give it another try with your smoothie. But I doubt I can find the pink Himalayan salt here.
My kids love to eat mangoes too but I prefer smoothies.
You don’t have to use the Himalayan salt. Sea salt will work out you can leave it out altogether.

Thanks for sharing this. Using coconut water is something new to me. I usually just use water.
I love coconut water in smoothies. It has a lot of good nutrients.
“I like big mangos” <– that's what he said…hahaha
Haha you were the only one that caught that on my picture.

Yum! I have never bought coconut water but I will have to grab some. Looks delish!
Coconut water is great. Lots of potassium and electrolytes. Similar to gatorade but without all the fake crap.

Look at you with your fancy Himalayan salt! I’m with Stasha…I’m gonna add Malibu.
It goes well with my diamonds.
My littlest one LOVES mango – I’ll have to try this. I wonder though, where does one find pink himalayan salt? I’ve never even heard of it…
I get the salt from Whole Foods.
This sounds absolutely delish – and something that even I couldn’t screw up. I just might try it. YUM!
I don’t cook and I have yet to screw this up if that gives you any sort of hope.
My little one loves fruit. I’m sure she would love a smoothie too, I’ll try it!
Thanks!
We love fruit over here too in the summer. I hope your little one enjoys it.

That sounds delicious! We always make a lot of smoothies in the summer if for no other reason that they are healthier than the milkshakes we are all craving!
We don’t drink milkshakes but we do have lots and lots of smoothies. My baby asks for them all the time. It’s so cute.

This sounds wonderful! They would be great on a hot Carolina afternoon.
It is perfect in the hot afternoon. Just make sure to add the ice.
That sounds so good! We drink (Eat?)(Drink?) tons of smoothies, but they’re usually berry based. However, my kids love mangoes, so this is a great! Thanks – we’re going to try it. (And I love the above commenter’s Malibu suggestion!)
We do a lot of berry based ones too since we get fresh berries from the farmer’s market.
Malibu would be delicious in this recipe.
I LIKE BIG MANGOS
hahahahahhahahaha.
you slay me!
Haha only you and Kimberly caught that line.

Sounds so good! I love mangoes! My husband is the smoothie maker at our house, but I’ll have to see if I can sway him from his usual extra-creative, but not always so tasty blends.
I think I would prefer the less creative but tasty smoothies.
My 7yo asks for smoothies for breakfast every day! Usually I use frozen strawberries or blueberries.
Both of my kids ask for smoothies everyday.

This sounds so awesome! I’ve never made anything with coconut water. I’ll have to try it since your recipe for a pom martini was super scrumptious last week! Thanks for linking up, Jessica!
Glad you enjoyed my pom martini recipe.
I use coconut water a lot in the summer for smoothies.
Yum! Not a fan of mango or coconut water, but still yum!
Maybe the one I post next Sunday you will like better. It won’t have either of those ingredients.
