My Mother’s Day and Baby Steps

My mother’s day present from the monkey…

Photobucket

The one in the middle is a picture she made and framed for me.

In case you can’t read the words the card says in order:

The important thing about my mom is she loves me!

The important thing about my mom is she cares about me!

The important thing about my mom is she gives me donuts!

But the most important thing about my moms is she helps me!

In addition to this lovely present from the monkey I spent my Saturday night in the fine company of my wonderful in real life friend and fellow blogger, Jessica from Deadlines, Diapers, and Dior.

My children had a great time dressing up her little boy in pink headbands and purple sunglasses in addition to stuffing bottles down his throat while the adults enjoyed nice conversation and several glasses of wine.

So, today I am excited to tell you that Jessica has invited me over to her place to share the story of my children and their crawling skills (or lack thereof) when they were younger.

Please go check out my post Baby Steps…or Not at Jessica’s site and leave her a comment with your child(ren)’s crawling story.

As for you, I am so impressed you left the house after receiving iPad. Mine is coming on Wednesday and I am not leaving the house or sleeping till June.

  13. What an amazing Mother’s Day card and gift! That donut line sounds like something my kids would say about me. My oldest made a card for me at school, not nearly as intricate with the detail as yours, and I still had to hold back the tears. There’s just something about homemade gifts from your kids.

Maybe a little bit distressed but when he is older he is going to wish he had a bunch of girls around to take care of him. ;)

  24. As my son will confirm, the most important thing in life truly is donuts. Sounds like you had a fabulous mother’s day!

That baby boy looks adorable in his headband. My sister and I used to dress up my brother like that until he got old enough to resist – good times.

Providing doughnuts and other treats are an important part of motherhood!
